Ok saw the rip. I would say difficult, but not impossible, to mend. Check with your local dry cleaner - some of them do darning and mending too... If it proves too difficult, you can get a backpack made out of it. Will check and let you know about jeans recyclers :)
If I'm not mistaken it's not completely worn through in critical areas. I see at least another season of wear in its future!
Donate it!! It's got enough attention then it needs to.
Oh, man you are spoiled mister. Those jeans look in better shape than the ones you buy new in the store.
Oh come on...keep it, it will hardly take up any space...and once in a while when you decide to don it, it can be a great conversation starter!
Definitely keep and wear! As Manju Aunty said, the critical areas seem fine. And you don't want to be too normal do you?
You can purchase an iron on patch in denim at your local fabric store allowing you to keep wearing your wonderful treasure for many more days.
